08/02-2010 11:31:00: (SDRL) SDRL - Seadrill announces fourth quarter and preliminary 2009 results earnings release and conference call information

Seadrill's fourth quarter and preliminary 2009 results are scheduled to be
released on Thursday February 25, 2010. In connection with the earnings release,
a teleconference/webcast will be held as described below:

A conference call will be held at 6:00 P.M. (Norwegian time) on Thursday
February 25, 2010.

To listen to the management presentation of the results, the following options
are available:

Go to the Investor Relations section at www.seadrill.com and click on the link
to "Webcast".
In order to listen to the conference call on the web, you need to have installed
